This two part project consisted of a performing arts centre and a modern condominium tower in the Wellington West neighbourhood of Ottawa.
Our firm was responsible for providing all material and labour to complete the HVAC, insulation, controls and air balancing scope of work.
Burchill Mechanical is proud to be associated with this first multi-unit residential LEED project in Ontario. This project was awarded LEED Platinum certification for its numerous interior green strategies. This buildings clever design features harvested solar energy used to preheat air to ventilate the residential units. Its continuous bathroom ventilation systems and central enthalpy wheel for heat recovery ensures energy efficiency and a healthy indoor environment. This saves energy by reducing the need for cooling in the summer and heating in the winter.
